This Stevens manufactured second variation hammer is for the Favorite single shot falling block rimfire rifle which has the 2nd variation mainspring having the curled forward end which makes contact with the hammer. This hammer has a checkered spur and is in good condition exhibiting a grayish brown patina with light wear and possibly a few specks of rust. (file photo)

Note: this part is commonly found on Stevens Favorite single shot rifles with 5th & 6th variation receivers. Additional Note: we have found this hammer in a couple of 8th variation receivers as well.
